  1. Use a moisturizing formula when shampooing and conditioning your hair.

If you have curly hair, there’s a big chance that your strands are pretty dry. Remedy this by using a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner to fight frizz, define your curls better and make them look shinier and fresher. Just make sure that you let your leave your conditioner for a couple of minutes to detangle the pesky snarls.

  1. Gently comb your hair using a wide-toothed comb.

For people with straight hair, brushing wet hair is the same as committing a crime, but it’s an entirely different story when you have curly hair. Using a wide-toothed comb, gently brush through your hair once you’ve rinsed your conditioner to manage all the remaining tangles. As much as possible, avoid brushing it our while drying because you’ll only cause more frizz.

  1. Wring your hair out and apply a generous amount of hair mousse.

Just before you hop off the shower, make sure that you wringed all the excess water off your hair. After that, apply a generous amount of curling mousse from root to tip and scrunch it using your fingers. Ensure that you’re using a curling mousse that has a strong hold to it to make your curls longer-lasting.

  1. Throw your curls up in a towel and just leave it be.

Instead of rubbing your hair as you come out of the shower, just put it up into a towel and leave it be. Rubbing it with your towel will only bring about more hair frizz. Just do your usual beauty routines and let it sit for another 10 to 15 minutes before removing the towel.

  1. Apply a curling cream and let it dry on its own.

Once you’re done leaving your hair to sit in a towel, apply a quarter-sized amount of curling cream from root to tip and scrunch it. This will help in giving your curls more definition, holding it and controlling hair frizz. Once you’re done scrunching, just let it dry on its own, or use a diffuser if you’re in a hurry.

Maintaining a curly hair isn’t that hard. All you’ve got to do is use the right hair products and find the haircare routine that can help you manage frizz and make your curls look like they’re on their top shape.
